Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical Co Ltd was founded in 1956, and publicly listed in 2000. It entered into a joint venture in 2012 with Pfizer Incorporated, setting up Hisun-Pfizer Pharmaceutical Co Ltd.

The company's headquarters is located in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, and it has pharmaceutical bases in Taizhou, Fuyang district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province. Its research and development (R&D) centers extend to Beijing, Shanghai, and other core cities which have intensive knowledge, talents and technology, forming three business groups - chemical medicine, biological medicine and big health.
