Taizhou University has encouraged industries to deeply integrate with its education and teaching, adhering to coordinated development between the university and local enterprises. Closely connecting with the development of the pharmaceutical and chemical industry in Taizhou, the university has set up the Taizhou Biological Medicine Industry Research Institute as part of Zhejiang’s talent program. It has also been approved as a national expert service base and a post-doctoral work station. Taizhou University, establishing the institute for advanced studies and a great number of other research institutes for directly connecting with the local industries’ development, has attracted nine innovation teams composed of academicians and first-class scientists, which directly provide top talent and technology support for local innovation-driven development. In addition, it also has over 20 platforms, including the Sanmen Institute of Taizhou University, Zhejiang (Taizhou) Small-Micro Finance Institute, the Taizhou Merchants Institute, the Harmonious Culture Institute, the Tiantai Mountain Harmonious Culture Institute and the Taizhou Center for Dachen Island Wasteland-reclamation Spirit Studies of Taizhou.
