Taizhou Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time public college organized by the Taizhou municipal government. With a long history of specializing in education, its predecessors were Taizhou Agricultural School, founded in 1937, and the original Huangyan Normal School, founded in 1921.

Located in the beautiful hometown of tangerines - Huangyan district of Taizhou, Zhejiang province - it is surrounded by the Yongning River and faces the Ma’an Mountain. The college enjoys a good ecological environment and convenient transportation links. With a total planned land of 760.9 mu (50.73 hectares), the first-stage of the new campus project covers a total area of about 35 hectares. So far, 660 million yuan ($94.92 million) has been invested in the project and a building area of nearly 210,800 square meters has been completed. The college currently has 326 regular faculty members and staff, including 82 staff holding secondary senior titles, 229 holding master’s degrees or above and 166 double-position teachers. The college library has a collection of more than 550,000 volumes, over 1.26 million e-books, 600 kinds of newspapers and periodicals and 13 full text electronic databases. In addition, the college has 106 on-campus internship and practice training bases and a further 196 bases off-campus.

Taizhou Vocational College of Science and Technology consists of the College of Agriculture and Bioengineering, the School of Mechanical and Mold Engineering, the School of Automobile and Information Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Accounting and Finance, the College of Humanities and Tourism, and the Department of Social Science and Sports. There are 24 majors and adult degree education majors, including horticultural technology, environmental engineering technology, garden engineering technology, machinery manufacturing and automation, CNC technology, mold design and manufacturing, intelligent control technology, automotive inspection and maintenance technology, food nutrition and testing, pharmaceutical production technology, computer application technology, information security management, telecommunications services and management, insurance, internet finance, accounting, marketing, logistics management, tourism management, hotel management, business English, secretarial, investment and financial management and preschool education.
