Located in Linhai of Zhejiang province, Zhejiang Automotive Vocational and Technical College is jointly operated by Linhai municipal government and Zhejiang Geely Auto Group, serving as a full-time private college of higher education.

Zhejiang Automotive Vocational and Technical College is designed to serve the regional economic development of Zhejiang and Taizhou. It has given its priority to the development of majors related to the auto, electronics, mechanical manufacturing and commerce circulation service industries, aiming to cultivate high-qualified and technical talents working in the front line of production, construction, management and service. The college now has a Department of Automotive Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering and Department of Economy and Trade, as well as a College of Adult Education. It has opened five main areas of study, including automobiles, mechanical design and manufacturing, automation, business management, and language and culture. Under the five main categories, there are 15 majors, namely the majors of Automotive Detection and Maintenance Technology, Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly Technology, Automotive Electronic Technology, Automotive Application Technology, Numerical Control Technology, Mold Design and Manufacturing, Machinery Manufacturing and Automation, Industrial Robotics, New Energy Vehicles, Electric Automation Technology, Auto Marketing and Service, Business Management, Logistics Management, Business English, as well as the majors of International Business, Financial Management, and Processing Automation. The major of Automotive Detection and Maintenance Technology is the dominant major in the “13th Five-Year Plan” of Zhejiang province, while the majors of Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly Technology, Automotive Electronic Technology and Auto Marketing and Service, are special majors in the “13th Five-Year Plan” of Zhejiang province. Its Automobile Practice Center is the demonstration base for automobile practice for higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang province and has been identified by the Ministry of Education as the central-financial-aid practice base of vocational education.

Zhejiang Automotive Vocational and Technical College is home to the National Professional Skills Accreditation Institute. It also has an internship and practice training base covering a total area of over 20,000 square meters. The training base, reaching an advanced level in Zhejiang province, has been equipped with advanced equipment, sufficient work stations, sound functions and skilled practice instructors.
