Introduction:

Taizhou Central Hospital, founded in June, 2000, was affiliated with the Taizhou University in October, 2016. As a comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation, it was ranked Grade 3, Class A in 2012. Located in the core area of Taizhou, it spans an area of 200 mu (13.3 hectares), housing 1,000 beds, 25 open wards, 32 clinical specialties and 10 medical departments.

The hospital has founded several institutes, including the Taizhou Key Laboratory for General Surgery, Taizhou gerontology institute and Taizhou Key Laboratory for gerontology. Subject of gerontology was listed as the provincial key supporting project, oncology and five other subjects were listed as the municipal key subjects.
