Taizhou: a historic and innovative city
As an important intersection of the coastal economic belt of the western coast of the Pacific and the Yangtze River golden waterway, Taizhou is located in the south wing of the Shanghai economic region and is a major part of the national strategy of Zhejiang marine economy demonstration zone.

Taizhou is the birthplace of China's share-based cooperative economy and one of the most developed regions in the market economy. As one of the three urban clusters in Zhejiang province, it is a significant growth pole for the development of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. Taizhou's gross national product has continued to grow at an average rate of more than 13 percent in recent years. Its comprehensive competitiveness has risen to 35th among large and medium-sized cities across the country.
