Taizhou, city of East China's Zhejiang province, has formed a team to jointly work with Beijing to develop tourism, said an official at a tourism promotional event in Beijing Wednesday.

Despite the distance between the two cities, tourists can fly back and forth every day, said Rui Hong, deputy mayor of Taizhou city. By recognizing the importance of pooling their complementary resources, the prospects of cooperation are bright.

As a metropolitan city with one of the highest population in China, Beijing attracts many tourists, but the capital lacks natural wonders.

The Chinese coastal city Taizhou, on the other hand, has enchanting natural wonders, such as Shenxianju scenic spot which boasts many dramatic, precipitous cliffs. It attracts film and television crew to shoot movies or TV series, such as traditional Chinese action film The semi Gods and semi Devils wrote by Louis Cha Leung-yung.

The event also attracted some travel enthusiasts to share their journey to Taizhou. Taizhou deserves the praise, especially its landscape of mountains, said one of participants at the forum.
